Founder: Ilchi Lee
Founder
International Brain Education Association
Korea Institute of Brain Science
For over three decades, Ilchi Lee has led the movement to unlock human potential and inspire world peace through Brain Education. His long-term vision is to usher in an era of increased human happiness, health, and harmony through the use of Brain Education techniques.
Ilchi Lee founded IBREA based on the belief that humans share a common status as Earth Citizens, rather than as separate people divided by arbitrary political, ethnic, religious or other illusory boundaries. By emphasizing humanity’s unity rather than its differences, Ilchi Lee hopes to ignite a worldwide shift in consciousness that can transcend destruction and create harmony on Earth.
Ilchi Lee has focused on spreading this vision across nations and cultures. In 2001 he hosted the Humanity Conference in Seoul, South Korea, where he shared his insights with some 12,000 participants. The conference emphasized solutions for a more harmonious Earth culture, drawing speakers that included U.S. Vice President Al Gore and journalist Seymour Topping. Ilchi Lee has authored over 30 books, founded several non-profit and for-profit entities, and organized numerous events and conferences that spread this vision of a more peaceful, prosperous world.
Ilchi Lee is known for founding Dahn Hak in the 1980’s, a yoga practice that today is practiced by thousands of people worldwide. He is the founder of the Korea Institute of Brain Sciences (KIBS), the University of Brain Education (UBE) and the Global Cyber University in South Korea.
